The name Riva is synonymous with elegance, class, and premier European craftsmanship, Riva has been one of the world’s leading producers in high quality speed boats since the 1950s. The Riva name dates back through the 1840s, where Pietro Riva began to fashion boats in a small northern Italian town called Sarnico. Pietro’s grandson, Carlo, would be the figurehead of the Riva Speed Boating legend. In the 1950s, Carlo Riva began to produce elegant wooden speed boats of unquestionably superior style and quality. The Riva Aquarama was the undisputed flagship of Riva’s line. Becoming more than just a boat, the beautiful Aquarama was a social symbol of the highest class, style, wealth, and most notably, power.
Product Description of SAN FELIPE MODEL SHIP MASSIVE 13 FOOT LONG
This is a gigantic 13 feet long museum-quality replica of San Felipe, one of the most beautiful Spanish galleons of the XVII century. This is a limited and exclusive edition. The first one was built for a museum in Europe.
Master craftsmen using historical photographs, drawings or original plans meticulously handcraft this highly detailed model from scratch. It was built to scale with high-grade wood such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. It is 100% hand-built using plank-on-frame construction method and is similar to the building of the actual ship. The model requires thousands of hours to finish and went through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop.
This massive San Felipe XXXL model features plank on frame, three decks, and three rows of ferocious cannons on each side of the ship. A unique bowsprit design that consists of brass statues and crafted brass ornaments on the panels. The front bowsprit and three large masts are connected securely using advanced rigging and lines painstakingly knotted and fastened by hand. Each yard has an attached hand-stitched rolled-up sail made of fine linen. Metal anchors and a wooden rudder are visible on the front and rear of the ship. On the deck, there are metal stationed cannons, authentic hand-built lifeboats with ribs and planks, wooden cabin, and many other handcrafted ornaments. There is also an exquisite detailed admiral’s quarter on the stern with a beautifully handcrafted metal lantern, amazing metal crafted statues, and many other spectacular brass ornaments.
This model comes with a solid wood base and brass nameplate. It’ll make an incredible display in your home or organization.
